Parenting a screaming child

Do you have a screaming child? How do you handle him/her?
I thought this article is interesting....My kid screamed in a
restaurant the other day as if oblivious to the people staring at us.
I was so embarrassed. What would you do if your kid do the same thing?

That is shown to damage children. If you think you weren't damaged,
it's because you ARE damaged and your response is evidence of it!

All you need to do if a child cries is to leave. Kids don't want
to leave, they want to stay in interesting stimulating environments.
If you deprive them of that every time they cry they will stop every
time thereafter if you tell them to stop or you'll have to leave.

If there are two of you, simply have one of you take them to the car
and make them sit there in time out till they stop. If they're too
young to really understand time out, or if there is really something
wrong with them, then you shouldn't be doing that anyway, you should
be correcting their problem.

You shouldn't be taking small children into quiet sit-down restaurants
and other similar venues anyway!
