i know this sounds really weird, but do you ever miss being pregnant
and/or miss your ob? you spend so much time with them and then you
have your baby (which is wonderful!!!) and then you stop seeing them.
is it weird to feel this way?!
a friend of mine is pregnat is sees the same ob. she has a blog and it
feels weird reading it when she says that she saw the dr. today
etc...
i guess i just miss the pregnancy excitement. or maybe i am crazy.

I think, more than just my ob himself, I missed being pregnant and I missed
the excitement of what was coming. My ob, when Ian was born, and I parted on
not good terms so I never missed him. But, the ob I had with Rachel who was
so loving and kind when he delivered her, passed away a year or so ago and
when I read it in the paper it made me cry. He was one of those people who
made me feel special and well cared for and like I was the only person he
was concerned about. Maybe it is how special we feel when we are pregnant.
Heck Kim I don't know. Maybe I am nuts too.

No, you are not crazy. I went through some withdraws with Emily and
again with the twins even though I wasn't overly thrilled with my OB
at times. However, when it came down to it he took care of me and the
girls.
I even think it was party of my PPD right after having the girls.
Because I had them 3wks early, I felt like when I went for my PP
appts. that I should of been going for OB appts. It did subside alot
after that 3wks are over. However, when I drive by the hospital and
when I was going there for my gall bladder appts. and surgery I had
missed it being for OB appts. (same building). My sister is due in
9wks and she see the same midwives/OB as me and will probably go to
the same hospital as I did. So yeah I do miss the excitiment a
little, but I really don't miss being pg with them, the worry, and
being that uncomfortable.

You're not crazy. I don't miss the OB so much, or really the
appointments (it was hard this last time juggling the kids around), but
I sure do miss being pregnant. I've been lucky to have easy pregnancies
(even though getting there the first time was horribly difficult), and I
loved being pregnant. I get a little wistful thinking about it, because
there won't be anymore for us- age, time, finances, space, all reasons
our family is complete, which is wonderful- I never thought I would be
able to say that I had the perfect number of children for me But the
joy of feeling that little baby safe and sound inside me, well, I could
live with that again. On the plus side, it sure is nice to have a glass
of wine, and eat blue cheese on my salad

No its not weird. I felt the same way. I had to go weekly from about 20
weeks on, so I really developed the habit of going. After Ally was born, I
kept feeling like I was forgetting to do something. I miss the whole
experience though and still feel nostalgic about it all 5 years later.

I do miss mine because i had a high risk pregnancy and i went twice a
week to him!! Its weird now not going to the doctor anymore. I do
see him next week for my 3 week follow up visit to see how im doing.
I dont remember this with my other pregnancies they used to just see
you at 6 weeks postpartum. (this must be something new (the 3 week
visit). My OB is older and very handsome too. As miserable as i was
i do miss being pregnant though. :0 So to answer your ? i do miss
