New Diapers With Cool Pad - Is This A Good Thing?

I wrote a column on our blog, gnmparents.com - I take issue with the new
diapers that have a cooling pad meant to notify the child that they have a
less-than-clean diaper -

But am I off? Someone said that they are a good thing and don't create a
slight punishment scenario, as I suggested. I'd love your feedback, as I'm
happy to admit I was off-base if I was.
