No worries, everything went well!
Babies didn't cooperate though, so still a
guess on the genders.
I didn't get home until time for Maya's karate
class, then dinner, then homework, then bathtime,
then bedtime, and by then I was wiped out and fell
asleep with Maya! Sorry I didn't get a chance
to update before now. (Got a bit of insomnia here at
4:30 in the morning!)
Nuchal translucency results were great, dr. was looking
for measurement of <3.5. Baby A measure 1.7, Baby B measured
1.8! Dr. was very pleased. I was 12w2d yesterday,
A measured 12w3d, and B measured 12w4d. B seems a little bit
bigger than A, but they are pretty close. Still have a gut feeling
that B is a boy and A a girl, but now we won't find out either
until my next OB appt on Jan. 30th, or the next peri appt on Feb. 12th.
Peri said both babies looked good, he did a pretty thorough check
(but not real detailed yet) of major things and was pleased with what
he found as well. Everything looks great and he told me he was sending
a NORMAL report to my OB! :*) Blood test results are due back next
week (they combine those with the u/s results to determine odds of
problems) but I again have a gut feeling that things will be fine.
Funniest thing about the whole appt was when Valerie (the initial
u/s tech) first did the u/s, and Baby B was standing on his head
straight up and down, while Baby A next door was standing straight
up and down on her feet!! Wish she'd managed to snap a pic of that,
we both laughed when she said I had 'ying and yang' babies.
By the time the peri started checking for gender though they had moved
and wiggled about to where he couldn't get a good angle to see, they are
still small, but by the next appt (I'll be 17 weeks) he said we should
be able to tell. So more waiting!
So overall the appt went great, very reassuring, both looking very
healthy, right on target, great development, sizes, movement, etc.
I got 5 more u/s pics for my album, I'll try to scan them tomorrow
after Maya goes to school.
Thanks to everyone for the prayers and well wishes! Keep them up, they
are working, thank God! :*) :*)
Love,

No kidding! I missed out on all of that...however, DH and I are
like kids waiting for Christmas or birthday gifts--we just don't have
the willpower to wait until birth to find out! LOL!
Plus, there's also the fixing up of the nursery--I'm not going to be
as creative this time as I was with Maya's, keeping it pretty simple.
Yeah, there's generic colors to pick, but knowing what you're having
ahead of time helps me with the theme. :-0

Yes, one of the perks of being an AMA "Evel Knievel", LOL!
I was the same with Maya but didn't have near as many u/s's, with
twins they are being really careful though...it's totally AMAZING
to go in and see how much the babies have grown in just the space of
a week or few weeks! :*) Very, very cool.
Thanks, Clarice! |

Oh, we never would have waited either DH and I couldn't wait to find
out- with DS#1 we knew we had his name before we even left the u/s, and
with DS#2 we had it by that afternoon. DD took a while longer, I think
we were in shock that we were actually going to have a little princess
I can't wait to find out what your little peanuts are!!

Well, I've already gotten a boy's and girl's name from waaaaaay back
(just like I did with Maya), so hopefully they'll cooperate and we won't
have to start all over with one or the other!!
