We should not tolerate lies. Not in our homes, not in
society and not in courts -- perjury! Why the hell was
this father punished? The boy should be punished!

Attorney charged with child abuse

By The Associated Press

Prosecutors filed a felony child abuse charge Friday against
an attorney accused of repeatedly striking his 14-year-old son
with his hand and a riding crop.

Robert Eliot Sisson, 46, is accused of striking his son on
Oct. 6 at least 40 times on his forearms and legs with a
two-foot-long riding crop, which resembles a whip, according
to an affidavit filed in the case.

The affidavit says the next morning, Sisson hit his son in
the face with his hand, leaving scratches and bruises on
his face.

The boy was taken into protective custody on Oct. 8 after
he told a school counselor what had happened. He said his
father struck him "because he had lied about having trouble
with his grades at school," according to the affidavit.

The child said his father struck him once before at the
beginning of the school year when he had not cleaned his
room properly, the affidavit said.

When questioned by police, Sisson said "he did not know that
he was doing anything wrong at the time of the incident,"
the affidavit states.

Oklahoma County District Attorney Wes Lane said Sisson
surrendered himself at the Oklahoma County Detention
Center Friday.

I'm still on the boy's side.

His son should have turned on him and killed him.
I'd vote to execute any parent who even tries that!

You must have voted for Clinton and Kerry.

Remember Clinton? Getting blow jobs and telling lies
under oath.

The truth doesn't mean much these days. This kid deserved
the lashing.

God help us all. The first thing I see after months away from this group is
this. What are we coming to?

You and I must know 2 different Jesus Christs. Your Christianity must be way
different from mine.

under christian law, the father was merciful in sparing the boy's
life.

he should have taken him before the church elders and had him stoned
to death.

fred

"rabbi," they asked, "how shall we treat the okies in our midst?"
"if a man should come to rob your house, would you offer him milk and
cookies instead? nay, verily, should an okie invade thy city, greet
him instead with a 12 gauge single choke. both barrels at close
range. for an okie understandeth not the ways of civilized men,
preferring to play with his cocks and to shoot his dogs. i have
spoken."

I agree. We're raising generations of spoiled, undisciplined, disrespectful
brats in a permissive society. It wasn't so long ago that this father would
have been commended, not condemned.
