Of course, we're spending about a gozillion dollars lately on baby-related
stuff (including a rather large investment in baby furniture, our cloth
diapering supply--which will save us huge money in the long run--and of
course, all the building supplies for the basement overhaul). None of this
is exactly "extra" cash, if you know what I mean...

And now, to top it all off, we have a leaky roof situation brewing!! Ugh.
There's a good chance we'll have to have the whole thing replaced, since the
last patch job we paid for apparently didn't do the trick.

Can someone tell me why homeowner emergencies always happen at the worst
possible times, financially and otherwise? I mean seriously... I'm due in
less than two weeks, and we have to deal with this?!?

Please send lots of positive energy and low stress vibes my way. I need
them desperately at the moment.

Oh GA, i know what you mean!! We have to pay what our insurance
doesn't cover for my hospital stay and Asher's when he was in for
jaundice!! Our part is $300.00 then it's another $300.00 for his stay
then i have to pay what my insurance didnt pay for all the BPP's i had
while preggo!! It seems like when Tim and I get ahead for anything we
get shoved back down with something else!! I will say a prayer for
ya. I have always heard get a second opinion about the roof though
make sure it needs replacing!! I will send low stress vibes your way
too. (((((Ga))))) I try not to worry about the bills right now
because i guess they will get it when they get it!! If there is
anything you need let us know ok??

I guess they say "When it rains, it pours!" for a reason, pardon the pun!

Saying prayers that the replacement/fixing/total costs will be bearable!
Hang in there!

We were lucky this last time, but during my pregnancies with both boys,
we had major appliance failure. The first time it was the refrigerator,
and the second it was the washing machine. We have a leaky roof anyway Wink

Sending calming thoughts....

Abby's birthday is our "jinx time". The past three years, we have had
something go up the weekend before Abby's birthday. In 2005, my dryer died
that weekend, in 2006, our fridge quit working, and in 2007, my van had to
have major work done. I try to get the birthday shopping done very early so
that we are ready for whatever appliance or vehicle breaks down!
