....but I chose not to cancel the cycle completely. I figure 25 follicles
that look in great order (yes, despite having had the dose dropped AGAIN I
still gained another 4 follicles), and the fact I wont have to do this
again, and wont have to have lots more drugs and be uncomfortable, perhaps
only to be in the same situation again, seeing as I'm such a strong
responder to the drugs.
Anyway, I went in at 10:30 last night for the trigger shot, and on 11 am
wednesday I have the harvest. The follicles are massive! No wonder I'm so
sore. But I've no free fluid, so the Dr says that if I do hyperstimulate it
will only be for a couple of days, and not that bad. Anyway I'm enjoying my
'drug free' day today. No medicines, YAY!
I'll keep you all posted.
:0)
Jade.
PS: A Christmas baby perhaps? (poor thing) I had thought of keeping my legs
crossed next month, but beggars cant be choosers. What do you think?

Best of luck to you! That's a lot of follies! I'm partial to Christmas
myself being born 12/22.

Sorry you can't do a fresh cycle, but I am still amazed at your
follies!! Wow! I'm jealous, you've had more follies in once cycle than
I have had in 6! Wow.
Praying that there's no OHSS, and that when you do the FET, you will be
successful right off the bat!! Take care,

Well it's done. 25 eggs were collected, and I ring tomorrow to see how many
fertilised.
Naturally I'm feeling a little sore and sorry for myself, but mainly rather
tired. DH was good, he looked after DD all day, even after we got home.
I look forward to being back to "normal" in the next couple of days, and
drug free for a couple of weeks. Yay! I don't know how ladies do fresh
cycles, it's just so much trauma, and then more drugs! I think we'll go
ahead and try next cycle. If our baby is meant to come at Christmas time it
will. If not, then perhaps the month after.
Yael - I only felt sore because I had massive ovaries... that's all. And
mainly only in the last 4 or 5 days, especially the last 3 when I walked. I
chose not to take pain killers because it wasn't that bad, really, nothing
that taking it easy wouldn't cure.
When I woke up they gave me something in my drip for the pain and for the
nausea, which were under control quite quickly. You don't know how it will
affect you until you do it, as the lady right after me (I could hear the
operation as I was waking up) bounced back super quickly. She's 43, so who
knows. She got 8 eggs, and I was really happy for her, because that's more
than she's ever got before.
My clinic recommends drinking 2 litres on top of what you normally drink
whilst you recover. Very hard considering I don't normally drink much, but
apparently constipation and dehydration can be a major challenge when
recovering.
Anyway, that's it for me. I'm tired, so I'll have an early dinner if
possible, then into bed. I put DD to bed early, and I hear her playing with
her toy now, but hopefully she'll be asleep soon.
Thanks for all of the well wishes. I hope you're all well too,
Jade.
