I finally got up the nerve to write this.
After 3 years of IF and 3 IVF's my DH and I became pregnant with a
boy. We named him Nicholas. The pregnancy was perfect, I worked
right up until my water broke and felt great, I went into labour at 37
weeks on November 13, 2007 (full-term) and during the last five
minutes of pushing our beautiful baby boy's umbilical cord got
compressed between his shoulder and my pelvis. When Nicholas arrived
he was absolutely perfect but he no longer had any brain activity, the
damage done was that severe. He was with us for 37 hours and he died
on November 14th. Needless to say are devastated. We took two months
off of work and are just now starting to live again. We still cry
everyday.
We have two frozen embyos left from the cycle that gave us Nicholas
and we are planning a FET in June.
Thank you for listening, it feels good to be able to tell people about
him. I am now in a support group like this one called spals that is
helping me cope.
Love to all of you,
Kel

oh Kell.
This just breaks my heart. I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad you had a
little time with him but it was so short, tooooo short. I hope that your two
months of healing together have given you a better connection to each other
and a safe time to grieve. I know that having to get back into life will
only bring back memories of hopes and dreams, but it will get easier I am
sure.
With your FET coming in June I hope that the grief can begin to heal and
your joy and excitement at becoming parents can take over.
There is a lot of support here, don't be afraid to ask for it.

Hi Kel,
I'm so very sorry for your loss -- I can't even fathom how you must be
feeling...
You will always mourn him, as with all those that we love who pass on,
but hopefully will recapture that joy with a new baby soon.
*hugggggzzz*
