I am not sure whether it the convention to add AD to the front of a
subject that is promotional. As this post is promotional as well as
informational I have done so.

My name is David Dixon.
I am an Australian Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Singapore. I am
also a SleepTalk coach. The author & founder of SleepTalk is Joane
Goulding.

I have teamed with Joane to create an eBook based on her book known as
"SleepTalk for Children" & "Creating Miracles". Joane is also one of
the leading hypnosis educators in Australia, she is currently writing
an 800 hour hypnosis/hypnotherapy course.

As many hypnotherapists will acknowledge, many issues that we treat
stem from childhood. It is often referred to as the "initial
sensitising event." The child's perception of an event becomes their
reality. Most often, it is the feeling attached to that event that
causes the problem often after the memory itself has been consciously
forgotten. But unless there is actual brain death/damage, generally
nothing is completely forgotten and as hypnotherapists know, changing
the subconscious perception or re-interpreting the event can bring
about amazing changes as an adult.

As my career as a hypnotherapist progressed I wondered what could be
done to reduce the pain of these events we all go through as children.
Another factor was how to do this before the event is taken from the
short term memory to be stored into the long term memory.

Then, around 5 years ago I met Joane and discovered "SleepTalk".

SleepTalk is a process where parents of children are taught to access
their children's subconscious mind and place positive affirmations
which are based upon unconditional love. While it is done while the
child is asleep, it is not done in a deep sleep (because it doesn't
work while the child is deeply asleep), but in the 'alpha state', a
similar 'trance' state that many hypnotists will be familiar with.

Joane developed this process after her child Michelle was diagnosed
with an IQ of 45, cerebral palsy, dyslexia and Joane was told that her
daughter should be institutionalized. Michelle is now 42 and is living
a happy life. She has a certificate in horticulture, is employed and
she and her husband own their own home.

Joane and Michelle's story is an amazing one and can be read at the
website: smart-parenting.com. Look for the "More Info" link. While you
are there you can also read short testimonials from parents and
doctors, psychologists & hypnotherapists. Free membership allows you
to download a Psychologists report on SleepTalk by John Cheetham,
Consulting Psychologist.

For more than 30 years, Joane has been fine-tuning the process and has
been coaching parents. She has also created a training programme to
train more parent coaches. These are generally professionals, but many
parents who have seen the benefit of SleepTalk also go on to train as
a SleepTalk Coach.

THE SLEEP TALK PROCESS:

The SleepTalk process can be separated into two sections:
The first is the Foundation Process.
This is the basic principles and is very straightforward. It consists
of 5 sentences and takes less than 5 minutes. It is done shortly after
the child is sleeping, but not while in a deep sleep state. The eBook
teaches how to bring the child up to an 'alpha' state and has a
carefully worded script for the parent to recite. The Foundation
statement is carefully chosen so that the suggestions or affirmations
are suitable for a person's entire life. The Foundation process is
very simple and straightforward and will benefit all children.

Over the years it has been found, children's 'problems' subside when
the Foundation Process is commenced. Some coaches suggest this occurs
in around 9 out of 10 children. So regardless of any other Primary
Issues, parents use the Foundation Statement for several weeks before
moving to the Advanced SleepTalk

The second is the Advanced Level.
This is more therapy based approach. Direct suggestions are given
which can be used for a range of issues such as bed wetting, sibling
rivalry and confidence issues. There are many statements to utilize,
but is suggested to consult a SleepTalk coaches to create suggestions
specific to each child.

I believe SleepTalk is suitable for all parents, all families and all
children. In fact I believe SleepTalk could be considered
"parenting101" as it complements any parenting style. I also believe
it has a special place for children with disrupted families, adopted
children and children with challenges such as autism, cerebral palsy,
Downs's syndrome.

One of the major advantages of SleepTalk over seeing a hypnotherapist,
psychologist, medical practitioner or other health professional is
that SleepTalk becomes a normal part of the parents' routine. Rather
than seeing a professional for several consultations, the parents can
do it every evening. It can be used in conjunction with most other
treatments as well. I suggest parents time it to when they would check
to see that their children are covered and asleep - usually 30 minutes
to an hour after they are tucked into bed.

Many parents try SleepTalk as their last chance, I believe it should
be the first choice.

How does it work?
To a child's mind, it is about unconditional love. While we tell our
children we are loved, it is not the same as it being held as a
subconscious belief. And no offence intended to parents, but sometimes
an adult's words and actions are incongruent or misinterpreted by
children.

But it is not just parents. Other adults and other children that can
'steal' a child's self esteem. Sadly, when this happens, all the
conscious reassurance has little impact. I'm sure all parents have
talked to their children about events that have adversely affected
them and while trying to reassure the child have seen in their
children's eyes doubts or even disbelief about what they are being
told.

Unconditional love becomes the Foundation of the child's belief. It
matters not whether the child is loved or not. What matters, is their
belief, that they are loved.

Secondly, regular use means that the unsettling events of the day, the
memory of that event does not simply go to the long term memory to be
stored intact.

Simplistic as it may seem, the use of SleepTalk allows the child to
know at the subconscious level that they are loved unconditionally.
With this as a part of their subconscious belief, children are able to
extend themselves, the courage to explore all possibilities that will
enable them to reach their full potential. Why? Because they 'know'
deep within that regardless of the outcome, they are loved and this
gives them.

Two of the questions I ask parents at workshops are: "Do you believe
that you were loved by your parents 100% completely &
unconditionally?" and secondly, "Would it make a difference to your
life if you did believe you were loved completely & unconditionally by
you parents 100%?" Invariable the vast majority, (often unanimous
response) is No and Yes.

SMART-PARENTING.COM

Smart-Parenting.com is a membership website and the free membership
includes being able to download and read the eBook: "Smart Parenting:
Creating Miracles with SleepTalk" (less one chapter.) There are also
free eBooks by James Allen.

The Foundation Membership has taken the basic Foundation Process and
separated it from the therapy or Advanced Levels. In doing so it is
'Parenting 101' as it complements all parenting styles and works with
every possible family type. Most importantly all children will
benefit.

The Foundation Membership is less than $1 per week and gives access to
the complete eBook. There are also a variety of eBooks and other
benefits included in the paid Foundation Membership.

The website also assists parents and carers to connect with SleepTalk
coaches. In the future we are hoping to incorporate an Advanced Level.

As well as being a membership site, smart-parenting.com has an
affiliate program that pays a 50% commission for each referral
upgrade. The affiliate program is available for all members. (Joane
receives a Royalty for each upgrade as well.)

I would welcome people who have an interest in the well being of
children, who have a belief in the power of the mind and who believe
that unconditional love is imperative for the foundation of a child to
join the site and place an affiliate link to Smart-Parenting.com on
your website or blog.

Finally, if you are a parent of a child aged 12 months to 12 and have
a newsletter or mailing list that you would be prepared to contact as
a Smart Parenting Affiliate, I would also be interested in giving you
free Foundation Membership and full access to the complete copy. in
exchange for a review of the eBook and process and a testimonial for
the website. I would also like to work with parents of autistic
children as I believe SleepTalk will enable parents to connect with
their autistic child at a level that is not possible in a conscious
sense. If you are interested, please contact me for further details
after you have visited the site, become a free member and read the
Free Version of the eBook. (Note: This offer is limited.)

Thank you for time in reading this post.
All the best for you and your family
Kind regards
David Dixon
