Hey ya'll. It's been a long time since we gave in to the siren call of the
roll call but with so many new parents joining us, oldies popping back in,
and lurkers letting us know they are out there, why don't we give in?

Roll Calls are always my favorite posts since I get to remeet all these
friends I have known for so long. I'll get it started since I am the one
with this bright idea.

I am Cindi. When I started on this board, ages ago, I was in my home state
of North Carolina, then we made a 5 year move to Mississippi just south of
Memphis, TN, and now we are in Modesto, California. I am 38. Hubby is 39.

I have a 12-year-old IF miracle named Rachel who was conceived after eight
years of marriage and three miscarriages. Thanks to a few drugs and some
progesterone and heparin she was born at 38 weeks happy and healthy.

I have a 12-year-old step son who came to me as a 6-year-old ready made when
Lee and I got married in 2001. Matthew and Rachel are such good friends and
this Christmas vacation they really bonded and were so broken hearted when
we had to say good bye on Saturday.

And then I have a Depo-Provera surprise who is a big almost 8 years old. Ian
was born at 34 weeks and had his share of problems and now only deals with
some speech delays and is in speech therapy (which he LOVES). By the end of
elementary school speech therapy should be a memory.

I have had a unique health history since I turned 18 and just recently began
dealing with adult-onset epilepsy. I don't drive anymore thanks to that but
we are learning to live around that.

So that's it in a nutshell, what about you?

Cindi

Hi, I'm one of the 'oldies', LOL. Smile
Been posting here about 7 years or so with some breaks in between.
Before that on a.i.primary for several years.

I'm Carolyne, 46; a Christian; retired teacher after 18 years or so of
teaching, mother of IVF #3 miracle baby Maya Grace (now 7), wife of an
engineer originally from India but a proud American citizen since 2003.
Mom also to furbabies Moose (11) and Pebbles (10), feral cats from a
dairy farm out in east Texas.

We live a little ways from Dallas, but have relatives all over the
world. This past summer we visited our new baby niece Priya in Australia
and her brother for almost a month, catching baby fever really bad. We'd
tried IVF several times since Maya's birht but to no avail, and decided
to try once last time when we returned...amazingly, by the grace of God,
our cycle worked and we are expecting twins!! in July 2008! Still
surreal to me. :*) :*) I'm considered an Evel Knievel patient because of
multiple 'high risks' but all is going well and we are praying for this
to continue to do so until July.

Maya is now in first grade and doing great and looking forward to
finally being a big sister. DH is hoping for two boys, but I think it's
a boy/girl combo--we'll find out on Thursday who's right and who's
wrong! Smile

Previous IF history: basically, bad tubes and anovulatory problems, as
well as autoimmune issues causing recurrent miscarriages over the years.
IVFs and low dose aspirin and again, the grace of God, bypassed those
for Maya's successful pregnancy in 2000 and now this pregnancy. :*)

Thanks, Cindi for the roll call! Can't wait to 'meet' everyone again! Smile

Good idea Cindi!

I'm Leighann (32) married to my DH for over 7 years. I started
lurking in ai.primary over 5 years ago and never posted for a whole
year because I didn't want to be one of the those fly-by people who
posts once and oops is pg. Well after that didn't work out I started
posting and was over there for about 4 years. After many IUIs, tests,
and a failed IVF cycle, I finally got to join ai.preg after IVF #2 was
doubly successful. My girlies are going to be 10 months this week and
are cruising all over the place, talking (mamama, dadadada, babababa,
yeah), starting to eat "real" food, and are just the most amazing
little people. Its hard to find the time to post as regularly as I
used to over in ai.preg (what else was I going to do for 10 weeks on
bedrest!), because well I have two little people crawling, cruising
and falling.. usually on opposite sides of the room. Oh and now they
hate anything that contains them so goodbye exersaucers!

In addition to chasing around two babies I work full time. DH and I
both have incredible jobs that are flexible so we take shifts watching
the girls while the other goes to work. However our neighbor is going
to start watching them 3 afternoons a week so I can be in the office
more. She starts on Wednesday and I'm happy and nervous at the same
time. I will miss all that time with them, but it will be good for
them to get to play with new people.

I'm going to try to be better about keeping up with the group since
its such a wonderful support system. -Leighann

I don't know if anyone will remember me or not. I have been a LONG
time lurker and occasional poster. I started reading a.i.primary when
Vicki and Debbie were regular posters. I have only posted a few times
though I feel like I "know" some of the regular posters after reading
the various groups since 1998. I log on here everyday to see how
everyone is doing and love reading about all the new additions to your
families etc.

I am Joni, I am currently a stay at home mom after working for 8 years
in accounting and management. We have one little boy named Mason.
He is adopted from Haiti after 8 years of various treatments. He just
turned three years old last month. We were working on adopting
another older boy and twin infants from Haiti but circumstances
changed and we were not able to adopt them. We are not currently
persuing adoption or treatments but both feel that our family is
definately not complete yet and plan to persue another adoption or IVF
eventually. We are also the parents of Brinkley our almost 6 year old
golden retreiver who was our baby until Mason arrived home.

We got our refferal for Mason when he was three days old. The
adoption paperwork/visa/passport etc kept him in Haiti until he was 10
months 21 days old. I went to visit him twice while he was in Haiti.
He arrived home weighing 11 lbs still wearing 0-3 month size clothes.
He grew quickly and caught up fast. He has some speech delays and a
few sensory integration issues from the time spent in the orphanage
but nothing to severe. He started a special preschool that focuses on
helping with these issues a few days after turning three. He
absolutely loves it and is doing great with it.

We lived in Salt Lake City, UT for 9 years. We moved to Oklahoma for
a while and have just moved back to a smaller town in Utah in July.

Here are a few pictures of Mason. One just smiling and being his
usual happy self and one in his halloween costume.

I remember you and Vicki and Debbi, I was wondering about that long ago
group the other day and wondering how the little people are growing up. Now
I know how at least one part of that old group is doing, YOU.

Mason in his cap is OMG gorgeous. I am sorry about the difficulties with the
other adoptions. I wish you much luck in whatever you choose to do to grow
your family this year.

I'm another oldie, in all ways-LOL! I was a regular on AIPrimary for a
few years back in the last century before I conceived my IVF#2 miracle
Paulie who is a big first grader now. I was considered "unexplained IF",
though I had long cycles until I went to an RE and he found the "ring of
pearls" associated with PCOS. I've since been blessed without treatment
twice, DS#2 Jack will be 3 in March, and DD Thalia will be 7 months next
week. I'm 42, and work at home on our small horse farm in upstate NY.
We've got some beloved furbabies, Sebastian the Corgi who loves his
brothers and sister when they drop crumbs, and cats, horses, and ponies
too numerous to describe fairly since the bus will be here any minute Wink

Looking forward to seeing the familiar faces, and meeting some new ones!

I always like these roll calls... Smile

I'm Mary, 41, married for 12 years to Patrick, 38 (been together for 16
years). We have three amazing daughters: Rayna, who will turn five in a
couple weeks and is in preschool, and 15-month-old twins Kyra and Camille.
We live in the Baltimore area (moved here from Houston in July, '06, when I
was 28 weeks pg with the twins). I've been a SAHM since Rayna's birth
(previously was an instructional designer and developer of interactive
training). Patrick is a regional manager of field engineers for a
pacemaker/implantable defibrillator company.

Also living with us are our fur kids, Puffin--a white, domestic short-haired
kitty (found abandoned in a NASA warehouse when he was two weeks old--I've
been his mommy for almost 17 years), and Meesha, a former stray bengal
kitty.

I have a pituitary/hypothalamic dysfunction (known as hypogonadotropic
hypogonadism, or "hypo hypo") and primary amenorrhea. I've never ovulated on
my own, and I've never had a period or natural cycle. We conceived our
daughters via injectables (Repronex + hCG) and IUI.

I'm originally from north-central PA, which is where my mom, little brother
and family, and my dad and his wife live. I have another brother who lives
in Bethlehem, PA, with his family, and another brother who lives in
Wilmington, DE. Patrick is originally from the Jersey shore, and his family
now lives in SoCal.

Cindi-

I wonder how Vicki and Debbie and their little ones are doing as
well. Thank you for saying my little guy is gorgeous. He is a ton of
fun and has such a vibrant and charming personality to go with his
looks. He can pretty much win over a room full of people no matter
where we are. I hope we can make some progress on building our family
this year as well.

I remember getting prayer requests for Mason way back when from some
other regulars on a.i.primary--I stopped reading per the faqs once
Maya was born. I'm so glad the adoption finally worked out! :*)

Gotta say you've got a handsome little man there! He's gonna be a
ladykiller with that great smile someday! Smile

I'll say a prayer for God to complete your family in the near future,
Joni! I bet Mason will be a great big brother. :*)

I love these roll calls as well.

I am Holly, 41, married to Mike, 33, for 11 years. I'm a Registered Nurse
working in long term care in the Midlands of South Carolina.

We have 2 boys, Cody, 16 and Mikey, 9.

My IF story is full of irony.

My first pg was the result of a sexual assault when I was 19. I had a baby
girl who I gave up for adoption at 2 days old. Her adoptive parents had
been TTC for about 8 years and had multiple failed IVF attempts.

Cody was born in Germany during my very disastrous 1st marriage. (Note to
anyone who is interested. It's NEVER a good idea to marry a man you met at
a bar who asks you to marry him the next day. And it's a REALLY bad idea to
marry him 2 months later and move to the other side of the world.)

Anyway, I had no difficulty at all getting pg with Cody, and a fairly
healthy pregnancy.

When Mike and I got married and were TTC, it never occurred to me that I
could be the one with the problem. After all, I was a proven "fertile
Myrtle". After I finally bullied Mike into getting tested, he was normal
and I was the one with issues. (low progesterone, luteal phase defect and an
"out of phase" endometrial biopsy.) After 3 cycles of clomid, I was pg with
Mikey. When he was 8 months old, we had a surprise pg and m/c... I sort of
knew at that point that we were done with our family. I had a hysterectomy
in 2002.

Mike is the only father Cody has ever known. They've never referred to each
other as step-father/son. I haven't seen or heard from my ex since Cody was
3. His loss. That boy is the most beautiful spirit I've ever known. He's
had epilepsy since he was 7, along with an auditory processing disorder and
some motor skill deficits. (probably some sort of syndrome that's never
been officially recognized) He never complains. He always works 10 times
harder than he has to. He never gives up.

Mikey is a little drama king who is going to be a politician or a preacher
when he grows up. Lord, that boy is too much for me. His reading
comprehension is about 9th/10th grade level. He's going to be too smart for
me within another year. Wink

We have a pug named Jake who rules inside the house, and a cocker spaniel
mix, Lucky, who rules the yard.

We are building our dream house right now, after living in a small trailer
since 2000.

So, that's us. I can't wait to read the rest of these!

Holly

Hi Joni! I remember you and Mason, very well. He is still as beautiful now
as he was when we first saw photos of him. What a joyous little face! I'm
glad to hear that all is well. Good luck on adoption #2!

Afsi, 35, married to DH, 45, for 10 years this April.

Live in Northern California (Santa Rosa, north of San Francisco), wine
country, now turned into rain country, have been living here since 1995,
before that Colorado, Texas, Virginia, and grew up in Iran.

One surprise pregnancy, turned into M/C, due to partial-molar pregnancy.

Causes of IF: anovulation and luteal phase defect. Two Clomid babies. DD is
nearly six! DS is 4.5. Two cats: Suzy, the big cat, 22 pounds, and Onyx Jr,
our little black kitten who is watching over me now.

I'm an engineer; work 20 hours a week. (where is leslie, our other
engineer?)

a.i.primary was such a big help to me - I always think of a.i.primary as one
of the great things that I got from the internet. graduating to
a.i.pregnancy and parenting were big moments in my life.

i don't remember some of these other names, but from a.i.primary i remember
a Kay well, and there was another Carolyn (we haven't heard from her in a
while). And there was the gal from Canada or somewhere up north, Kirsten?
Kirsti? neither seem right.

Afsi

Another "oldie" here...but a goodie, right ladies?? LOL

I'm Megan (just turned 30!) married almost 8 years to Matt. (3Cool
Together almost 13 years! We are the proud parents to 5 year old
Repronex/IUI twins Aidan & Lexi.

We originally saw the RE before the wedding thinking we would have
problems b/c of DH's diabetes. Who knew after tests that that would be
just one problem!! I don't ovulate either. We were successful with our
first IUI, in Feb. 2001, only to loose those twins at 18 and 20 weeks.
It was devestating and something I am still not completely over. It
was determined that I also have an IC. We had a failed cycle in Nov.
2001, but were successful in Feb. 2002! We were originally pg with
triplets, but I lost one at 10 weeks. After uterinne hemmorhage, IC/
cerclage, high BP, mild diabetes, PTL and bedrest since 15 weeks, A &
A were born completely healthy and huge at 33w 3d on September 28,
2002!!

We all live at the Jersey Shore with our furbabies, Kiana the Husky
and Charlie the Ragdoll cat. DH works in NYC and I am a SAHM, who was
previously a floral designer. I did go back p/t for the holidays this
past year and it was wonderful! I keep myself busy as classmom and
secretary of the PTO.

We have just started TTC again and have had 2 failed Clomid cycles in
Oct. and Dec. 2007. We are now gearing up to do a Repronex/IUI cycle
with my next period.

Megan

A Summer Update Request (ROLL CALL TIME) Hi all, Since summer is starting here in Sunny California (school is out in three days woooot), I thought a little roll call might be in order. I know most of us are oldies, but we do have quite a few new additions this year so let's all give a catch up,

Pumpkin Roll? Okay... reading all these Thanksgiving posts about pumpkin rolls has got me curious. Is it like a jelly roll with pumpkin filling? Will someone post a recipe? Thanks! Holly

Shake rattle though no roll We felt our first shaker tonight. It was a 5.2 in San Jose which is about 70 miles from here. The lights shook, the cups rattled, and a 7 year old thinks he is king of the world because he "lived" through a quake. He's too too funny. Cindi

Roll Call Hi All, I'm 23 and my partner is 44 (Don't say it or think it please - age is not important to us and whatever you think has probably already been said to us at some point). We've been TTC for 2 years and a few months ago we found that his sperm count an
